The first-year students in the BSc (Hons) Global Logistics Degree program was taken on a field visit to Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT) on the 11th of August 2023 as they got a pivotal window into the heartbeat of their supply chains.

The field visit afforded the students a comprehensive educational encounter that seamlessly merged theoretical classroom instruction with a practical on-site visit. Throughout the duration of the training program, participants acquired an in-depth understanding of crucial aspects including berth planning, yard planning, ship planning, container planning, and control planning. The program provided intricate insights and details into the execution of these processes, thereby enriching their learning experience.
